Green Beauty Guide Website Saves the World, One Face at a Time
London, UK (PRWEB) June 19, 2008 -- Green beauty expert Julie Gabriel announced the launch of The Green Beauty Guide (http://www.thegreenbeautyguide.com) blog that will mark 4-months countdown to the October release of Julie's book, The Green Beauty Guide: Your Essential Resource into Organic and Natural Skincare, Hair Care, Makeup and Fragrances (HCI, 384 pages).
The Green Beauty Guide blog evolved into a comprehensive resource into organic beauty and skincare ingredients, quickly gaining popularity just one month after launch. The blog, soft launched in May 2008, educates the visitors so they are firmly in control of their looks. They can learn the latest news in green skincare and makeup, learn the science behind popular synthetic and natural ingredients, and learn recipes of yummy homemade beauty products that can be customized to suit every skin condition.
"Unlike most authors, I decided to blog instead of doing the regular "about me" author's web page," says Julie Gabriel, Canadian-educated journalist and holistic nutritionist, "According to statistics, blog readers are more forward-thinking, they are significantly more likely to live in wealthier households, be younger and connect to the Web on high-speed connections. Blog readers also visit nearly twice as many web pages as the Internet average, and they are much more likely to shop online. I believe that blog readers make a wonderful target audience."
TheGreenBeautyGuide.com users can read and post news and tips, share homemade recipes and comments. Additionally, they can enroll for a FREE Green Beauty Makeover, a complete green beauty revamp. Julie Gabriel will recommend a healthy natural beauty regimen based on the user's skincare preferences, and suggest makeup and hair colors using only natural products available in the US or Canada.
In the latter half of 2008, the Green Beauty Guide website will allow for reader's engagement through product ratings and reviews, presenting more interesting ways of creating a two-way dialogue between Julie Gabriel and her readers.
Starting July 2008, users can enter their names for the chance to win one of twenty signed copies of The Green Beauty Guide. And in October 2008, Julie plans to celebrate the book debut and the launch of her skincare line, Petite Marie Organics, with a contest among book readers. The lucky winners will receive prizes that include a gift set of Petite Marie Organics organic beauty products, Frownies all-natural lifting system, and other green beauty products.
The website manager, Julia Cook, explains, "A major goal of launching the blog was to provide the future book readers with unique information they won't find anywhere else. The content is managed entirely in-house, mainly by the author, so the consistency is optimal.
Julie Gabriel says, "I am excited to be a part of this exceptional body of knowledge. Green is very hot and trendy today, but I want to make it normal and average. It should not be exclusive and elitist. Green must become your regular lifestyle - this is the ultimate recipe for a happy and healthy life."
About The Green Beauty Guide Where does the sunscreen go after our skin absorbs it? Can deodorant raise your risk of cancer? Why petroleum jelly isn't best for babies? These and many other questions are answered at the pages of The Green Beauty Guide: Your Essential Resource to Organic and All-Natural Skincare, Hair Care, Makeup and Fragrances, debuting in October 2008. Hairsprays, makeup, lotions, perfumes, soaps, shampoos and so many other beauty and hygiene products contain chemicals that are harmful to our health. The Green Beauty Guide has all the answers about which beauty products to use, what organic really means in the beauty industry, and why organic is a better choice for overall appearance. Written by a registered nutrition specialist and creator/owner of a new organic skin-care line, this beauty bible recognizes that women spend billions of dollars collectively each year on products that make them look good - yet may not be good for them or the environment. The Green Beauty Guide is against junk beauty!
Which dangerous skincare ingredients to avoid, what's the difference between natural, organic, and biodynamic and why it matters, how to shop for the best organic beauty products without spending a fortune, how to save beauty dollars by making homemade cleansers, toners, and moisturizers - all these questions are answered in easy and practical terms. The reader will enjoy dozens of unique homemade recipes and handy tips submitted by green skincare gurus. Readers of The Green Beauty Guide will also learn about the best hair care, teeth care, shaving tips, baby skin care, organic beauty detox, bottled water dos and don'ts, best juices for the complexion, vitamins and supplements for hair and skin, organic fragrances, organic bug repellents, and so much more.
The book is published by Health Communications, Inc (HCI) and will be available in the U.S. in October 2008.
